My Oily Story
So, I've had allergies my entire life.
As long as I can remember, I've taken some kind of over the counter or prescription allergy medication.
When my friends told me that they were using oils to help with their allergies, I thought, "That's great for them. But it will never work for me."
My awesome friend Sarah and I took a vacation together over the 4th of July. She brought her Essential Oils with her, and offered to apply them on me more than once. Finally I gave in, since my allergies were driving me crazy, and I'll try anything once.
I have very sensitive skin, and had been skeptical of oils from the beginning. I thought it was a crazy concept, and it wouldn't work.
Runny nose, sneezing, and watery eyes were keeping me from enjoying the beautiful Myrtle Beach vacation. Sarah put some lavender, lemon, and peppermint oils on the back of my neck.
Within twenty minutes my allergy symptoms had all but disappeared!!
No more runny nose. No more sneezing. No more watery eyes!!!
The effect of the oils lasted the rest of the day!
I asked her to reapply some oils for me the next morning!
There was no irritation on my skin. No side effects that I could feel, except that my allergy symptoms were GONE!
That made me a believer!! Oils REALLY WORK!!
I ordered the "allergy trio" of lavender, lemon and peppermint to start with.
I saved up some money over the next few months, and finally ordered my starter kit.
WOW! I wish I had not waited so long!
Slowly, I am learning so many uses for all of the different oils. My children ask for oils whenever they have a stomach ache, headache or stuffy nose. My mom uses oils for her allergies.
No more allergies! No more headaches!
